Our technicians have earned the designation of MASTER RACQUET TECHNICIAN by the U.S. Racquet Stringers Association. This means that each technician has passed an extensive examination process and satisfied experience requirements to earn the highest designation of MRT.

BOB PATTERSON, MRT
Bob is the founder of RACQUETMAXX, and has been a racquet technician since 1975. He has worked for many of the top professional players in the world on the ATP and WTA Tours, and was one of the first to earn the MRT designation when it was established by the USRSA in 1995.Bob serves as a consultant in the tennis retail industry and has served on the Member Advisory Board of the USRSA, as well as the advisory boards of Babolat, Nike, Prince and Volkl. He has served as a tester for the USRSA Certified Stringer and MRT programs since 2000. Bob also is a Contributing Editor for Racquet Sports Industry magazine. He also has published articles in Tennis and Tennis Life magazines.
In 2005, Bob was selected by Racquet Sports Industry magazine as the Stringer of the Year (click here)

Ashley Mendes,MRT and Jean-Paul Mendes,MRT
"Bob's kids" Help out whenever needed in the office or on the road. They help tremendously with our On-Court Evaluations, since they are both excellent player's, as well as MRT's. Although they have busy careers of their own, they still help Bob out whenever needed and truly make RACQUETMAXX a Family Business!

Piper is everyone’s favorite assistant. Although he can’t travel with the team, he keeps Bob company in the Racquet Service Center, where he is totally in charge!

Grant Morgan, MRT
Grant has worked as a technician since 1992 and was certified as a MRT in 1996. In 2000 he began working full time as a Technician on the ATP and WTA Tours traveling around the world servicing the racquets of all the top players. In 2003, Grant was hired as the personal Technician for Andy Roddick. He continued in that position for 2 years before returning to his hometown of Memphis. Grant has worked more than 40 Tour events including every Grand Slam and Masters tournament. Grant served as the Official Stringer for the USA Davis Cup team from 2003 to 2006. He was recognized as Stringer of the year in 2006 by RSI Magazine. He has been a member of the RACQUETMAXX Team since 1996.

Tim Strawn, MRT
Tim is the founder and owner of the website, GRAND SLAM STRINGERS which provides a ton of useful information to Professional Racquet Technicians. Tim is a veteran Technician that has worked for most of the top players in the world. He has worked many tournaments including Wimbledon and the US Open. Tim was recognized as the Stringer of the Year in 2007 by RSI Magazine. He has been a member of the RACQUETMAXX Team since 2005.

ROBBY JARMAN, MRT
Rob has been a member of the RACQUETMAXX Team since 2000. He has worked prestigious events such as the Kroger-St. Jude in Memphis and The NASDAQ 100 in Miami where he strung for Roger Federer and Kim Clisters.

TODD MOBLEY, MRT
Todd owns and operates Stadium Tennis in Atlanta. He has worked the U.S. Open, the Australian Open, the NASDAQ and the Family Circle Cup. Todd has been a member of the RACQUETMAXX Team since 2008.

CHUCK HAKANSSON, MRT
Chuck owns and operates Racquet Sports Services in Atlanta. RSS provides racquet stringing and service at all Atlanta Metro Area Dick's Sports Stores. He also provides all the racquet service for the Georgia Tech Men's and Ladies Tennis Teams. Chuck prepares the racquets for touring pros Donald Young and Melanie Oudin and has worked prestigious events such as The Western & Southern Open in Cincy, the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships in Memphis and The U. S. Clay Court Championships in Houston. Chuck has been a member of the RACQUETMAXX Team since 2008.
